Maulana Azad National Scholarship Scheme is a non-political, voluntary and non-profit making social service organization that is established for promoting education in the educationally backward strata of the Society. The Ministry of Minority Affairs, Govt. of India is funding this scheme completely. Maulana Azad National Scholarship for Girls is aimed at Minorities for recognizing, promoting and assisting meritorious Girl students who need financial support for continuing their education.

The Maulana Azad National Scholarship will covers for expenditure on purchase of syllabus books, payment of School/College Fee, purchase of stationery/equipments needed for the course, and payment of Boarding/Lodging charges.

The eligibility criteria for the girls to avail of this scholarship include the following.

It is applicable to only girl students that belong to National Minorities including Muslims, Christians, Buddhists and Sikhs.

The scholarship amount of Rs. 12,000 is given to each selected student and it will be released in two equal instalments of Rs. 6000 each. The first instalment is given for class XI and second instalment is provided for class XII.

The scholarship is awarded to the student who has passed Xth exam and takes admission in XIth in the same year of declaration of Xth exam results. Those applications who do not satisfy this requirement are not entertained.

K.C. Mahindra Education Trust, Mumbai, offers the scholarships to the talented and deserving students who have passed Std. X or Std. XII and obtained an admission in Government or recognized polytechnics for pursuing Diploma courses. The preference in awarding the scholarships is given to girl students, disabled children, poor children and children of armed forces personnel.

The K.C. Mahindra Scholarships awarded to the selected students comprises of Rs.5000 every year for a maximum period of 3 academic years for pursuing diploma courses in which they have taken admission. Students need to apply at the below mentioned address for an Application Form.  Student should send a self-addressed envelope along with the application. The Official Application Form is sent to the eligible students by K.C. Mahindra Education Trust.

Applicants need to complete the application form along with the necessary enclosures at the centre given below where the applicant can appear for the interview, in case he is selected. The selected candidates are intimated about the interview date and venue well in advance. Also, the candidates are paid the cost of travel to a certain extent.
